![]() Directed by Jeff Lieberman Here we have Dougie (Alexander Brickel), a boy who obviously doesn't know good from bad and has an unhealthy obsession with a video game titled Satan's Little Helper, and his older sister. The setting takes place in one day which is Halloween. Dougie can not wait for his sister to arrive from college and go trick or treating with her. When the time comes, he is let down by the fact that she did not arrive alone, but brought her boyfriend to visit with her. Dougie, being the annoying brat that he is, ran off down the street upset that he doesn't get his sister to himself. He ended up encountering a psycho killer dressed in a Satan costume that he actually mistakes for Satan himself. This tickled Dougie and he automatically insists on being this guy's little helper. Faithfully, Dougie brings Satan back to his home where he instantly gets rid of the older sister's boyfriend and is assumed that he actually is the boyfriend in costume by the rest of Dougie's family. This leads to a much not needed hot and heavy make out scene between Satan and the sister. Hey, this guy is getting it all. It's nothing but tail plus a helping hand in his murders. Who couldn't play along? ![]() As the day turns into night, Satan continues to go on his murderous sprees which were made easier to do thanks to Dougie. As time goes by, even Dougie ends up realizing that his friend Satan here really is an evil, bad guy. By the end, Dougie and his family struggle to keep alive themselves and try not to fall for any tricks Satan has up his sleeve (which didn't always end up like that). When it is all over, Dougie finally learns the moral lesson of good between evil. When you watch a movie like this, it really isn't for the acting or the effects, it is for what it's worth. I enjoyed this movie just for that mere fact. Don't watch it because it might seem scary (it's not), watch it for the damn insaneness that it contains! I learned about this movie from a local b-movie awards titled The Smithees and if it wasn't for that, I would have totally missed out! RATING: 2 eye screams out of 4. There are some unforgetable scenes that just make the movie, but it did lack in other places. <-- |
